Ebay item 11/15/05
Opening bid $7,500, no reserve, no bids yet 5 days left in auction.
1970 Jaguar E type FHC project car. This car has had much work done to it already but I have decided to put my energies and money in another project. The work done includes a rebuilt engine, new front rotors, new brake pads and hoses, steering bellow, upper and lower ball joints, front and rear shocks, new exhaust system, new oil pump, new bonnet hinge, right and left rail frames and a new sub frame, new engine mounts, and more hoses and hinges than I can list. The car is more than half way done in body restoration with new rocker panels, bare metal body replacement, and sanding. The rail frames and sub frame need to go in at the same time that the left rocker goes in, and this is where the car stands in progess today. This is really the last big thing that needs to happen. The bonnet is in very good condition. The interior is in good condition. I was not going to do anything with it but repair the arm rest, which has some wear. The wire wheels are in good condition. It has factory a/c and power steering. There is some surface rust and the floors show a little surface rust as well. The chrome is all there but for a piece or two. It has been in dry storage for a couple of years while being restored. The engine is original and numbers matching. It's a 4.2l. The engine had 40,000 original miles and nothing since its recent work, done almost 2 years ago. The body is rolling but the engine and interior are out. The engine is on a pallette and the interior is boxed. I will be happy to work with the buyer to get the car ready for shipping so that it is as secure as possible. This car is being sold as a project car. To be clear, it does not run. I will not give partial refunds on the car as it is sold as is.
