Current bid $5,200 reserve not met, 3 bids, 3 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1970 XKE Fixed Head Coupe. I bought this car with a Ford V8 motor in it and Ford tranny. I removed the Ford motor with hope to install a chevy V8. Time and money are now tight and it must go. The tranny tunnel was modified before I bought the car, the bonnet was also modified to make room for the distributor. I've got old ( about 10yrs ) but new rubber gaskets for most of this car. This car will make a great street rod. The windshield has a small bullseye in it. The tire are NOT a good set but hold enough air for transport. The wheels are original and in need of spokes and chrome or replacement. The body is need repair from sitting, It was garage kept for the first 5-7 years i've owned it, then we moved it to the shop a put it on plastic inside the car port to keep the rain off it. Again this is for the car only, Just a rolling chassis. The car is located at my shop in Highland NY zip code 12528.

Re-building is strrted. Have the engine and gear box. Need clutch pedal and motor mounts. Have the sheet metal for the doors and outer sill..Would like to have a 2.88 rear end ratio.. Engine to be 9:1. tri carb with a fuel injection head. The original motor mounts were removed (and missing) so will use the xj-6 mounts which are a little rearward which make mounting the alternator and power steering pump easier.

Opening bid $5,000, no bids, no reserve, 6 days left in auction, seller dac427, car now in Plainville, Connecticut, 66k miles. Winning bid $6,000

    Seller's description:

Jaguar E-Type. FHC coupe manual with Air conditioning and power steering. This is a restoration project and has a New York registration and a bill of sale. Connecticut does not require a title on cars over 10 years old. This is for all parts shown, basically all of the car is present except for the motor and cylinder head. this auction includes a transmission, the complete rear diff is in place, and most of the exhaust system. the car does not have a commission plate that usually is riveted onto the sill. but it does have the proper number on the picture frame and the id tag on the ds door jamb. the dash and gauges are all in place. the body has rust, floors are very bad, but most all the parts are there, and it comes as a complete package. all front suspension, rear suspension mostly all ac parts and all power steering parts are present as well as the starter alternator water pump and intake and carburetors. it is missing the actual air box.

this is the very beginning of an e-type project or can complement another project if you are missing parts or brackets. please bid on this as is. look at the parts closely. it is being sold with a ny registration and a bill of sale as is where is in Plainville ct. the car was originally brown with tan interior and that is how it is still. in addition to what is pictured, the car comes with another set of engine frames because the ones with the car look to be modified in some way. So another used set comes with the car. come and get it all.. there is a lot to this package and it comes with alot of parts. In addition to these the parts bins are bags of labeled hardware for re assembly of the components and also more interior pieces such as arm rests and cantrail moldings. too many smaller items that are hard to list but they all go with the car. This car rolls and steers but has no working brakes because the pedal box is not installed. All parts that come with this package are mostly in strong Plastic bins and some parts are inserted into the car at this time for transport.
