Current bid $36,600.00 (Reserve not met), 14 bids, 2 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1970 JAGUAR XKE SERIES II VIN # P1R13182 A nice full restoration on a Series II E-type with working factory A/C and power steering. Some of the late Series II had these options. Finished in Burgundy with Tan leather interior, Tan wool carpet, Tan canvas top and boot cover, and chrome wires. Detailed engine and undercarriage. This car was restored about 8 years ago including the engine, but it still looks fresh. Miles are not original. Mechanically in top order including electrics and cooling system. The body and paint are excellent with proper body alignment. New windshield has some fogginess on each corner. Comes with Owner’s Handbook, jack, wrench, and hammer. Great car to show or drive.

Sellers description:
Beautiful Regency Red Roadster 4.2 with tan interior and matching numbers. She goes by the name of "Bridgett", named by the previous owner's wife. She comes with two tops - a black one that is new and on the car, and a tan one. She sports custom stainless steel chromed wire wheels with fixed spokes. The original wire wheels go with her. Bridgett was in a collection in the Orlando, Florida area. When the owner died, his wife sold the entire collection and a friend purchased her and owned her for seven years. We purchased her from him two years ago. This is a rare air-conditioned E-Type Roadster that is stored in a climate-controlled garage under a cover when not driven. She has all of her original tools and owner's manual, including the original plastic pouch.

Much of Bridgett is original, although there have been some restoration actions taken over the years. It has been repainted, and is exceptionally clean. The undercarriage is as clean as the upper body, interior and engine. We replaced the windshield as the original one was de-laminating and turning brown around the edges. We have installed new rubber on the bumpers, doors, lights and bonnet, as well as new seatbelts, leather shift boot and other detail items. She is a beautiful vehicle, and won a couple of local concours for the previous owner. He can be contacted for of details of his seven-year ownership.

Bridgett loves to run. She starts immediately and runs strong even after sitting for weeks at a time. We would not hesitate to drive her anywhere, and have taken her across the state and back in addition to local driving.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
