Car is currently undergoing ground-up restoration. As at June 2010 the body has been repaired and repainted by the best in the business, CMC of Brdgnorth, Shropshire UK. The remainder will be carried out by the current owner. The car will be built as RHD with dark red interior.

After completing the bodywork the car was dry stored for 5 years until discovered by E-Type UK and bought back to our workshop in Hadlow, Kent. With the engine re-built to Stage 2/Fast Road specification, this E-type is ready for the final stages of restoration and able to be finished to customer specification.

Currently in Gummetal Grey, an original Jaguar colour combination the E-type was going to be finished with a Dark Blue interior as per its original Jaguar Heritage Certificate colours. Supplied with the original MOSS gearbox but able to fitted with a highly desirable 5-speed gearbox.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
