Ebay item 5/30/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-I-FHC-1964-Jaguar-XK-E-Series-I-FHC ...
Opening bid C $19,999, no bids yet, 3 days left in auction. 50k miles.

Sellers description:
Vehicle has been in dry storage a large number of years. After restoring 2 other jags I was very carful in getting the perfect starter car. It is completely rust free, and everything is there. This was to be my 3rd jag restoration project and was to be my part time project, but unfortunatly I dont have the time anymore and my new XKR has taken its place in my heart. The package also includes a large number of new parts including: Complete New Connelly leather interior package, Complete New weather strip package, Complete New chrome bumpers package, and other misc New parts. There is over $7000 US$ in new parts included, all still unpacked.

Vehicle is currently in storage and has not been run in over 10 years, so we are not going to attempt starting it now. As mentioned is is totally rust free, and more than complete. The PERFECT restoration vehicle! It has the classic series I goodies, like the covered headlamps, the bucket style seats, and the original 3.8 engine with triple carbs.

Below is an appraisal from 2003, explaining the condition and vehicle specifics.

Original vehicle colors are green ext and black int. The interior package I got was also black (it is the only true color for a jag interior). The green does look to be original as where there is chipping, you cannot see any other color below. The only damage on the body is on the front bumperette (you can see it in the photo and it is pretty minor). The only missing pieces that I could see are the chrome rear window seal inlays, and the chrome side rain gutter rails, and the small chrome emblems from the rear door (Jaguar 3.8, but these are fairly cheap to get as there are a ton of reproduction ones out there). Because I have restored a couple jags before I made sure the car was as complete as you can find, because all the little peices will nickel and dime you to death. All the bumpers, bumperettes, and nose pieces are included in the new bumpers package. The only other thing that was missing was the horn center button, but a replacement one is included in the parts I have. When we moved the car to storage we did check out the engine and it did freely turn over and I believe it could be gotten running fairly quickly. but if the car is going to be totally restored, you would also want to do the engine completely as well.
