Ebay item 11/1/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1963-Jaguar-XKE-Coupe-excellent-original-c ...
Opening bid $25,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction. VIN on this car J63887820.
Sellers description:
A very original and well restored Jag. This car was an original CA car, and I have documentation from registration as well as original photos. It has new metallic burgandy paint which looks fantastic. There are some very minor areas that have been touched up but can only be seen on close inspection. The engine has been hand polished and runs perfectly. It has new redline tires, new wheels, new bumpers, new gas tank, new carpet, new headliner, new door liners, resotored original AM/FM shortwave tube radio, rebuilt carbs, new fuel pump. It starts and drives wonderfully. There is some problem wiht the synchros in 2nd gear if you try to shift too fast, and the brakes could use service but beyond that seems perfect. It really is as nice a 63 as you are likely to see.

Current bid US $46,300 reserve not met 17 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Washington, Pennsylvania, 44k miles, seller showoff220k
Sellers description:
This particular car is car # 887820 and body # V4886 maybe one of the most original and unmolested examples left. This car still maintains its original matching #'s drivetrain engine number R9159-R and Gearbox box number EB 8336JS. This car has had an exterior restoration that includes one repaint, all new bumpers and stainless trim, 4 new correct knockoff wheels, and new redline tires. The interior is completely original, but still in really nice shape. All instrumentation, gauges, and lights on the dash work the way that they are supposed to. The car runs and drives beautifully and the 265 hp 3.8L engine pulls with what feels like the torque of a locomotive and the 4spd manual gearbox shifts as smooth and as tight as any automobile that rolled off of the assembly line this year. The brake master cylinder may need to be replaced in the near future as the car stops, but it takes alot of pedal effort to do so.
This car was sold, and spent most of its life on the west coast. It had 2 previous owners there and is nicely documented with almost every years annual registration card dating back to 1964. The car has only 44590 miles on it and it has an actual miles title that accompanies it not an exempt miles title. I also have over 8k worth of receipts for work done to the car recently including the carb rebuilds, heater box replacement, and new front steering and suspension component replacements. There is also alot of spare parts that go with the car as well including 4 extra knockoff wheels and the original tires that came on this car, extra bumpers and stainless, the correct material to recover the deck lid (I kind of like the originality of whats there now), all new rubber molding, and a brand new dash pad (nothing wrong with the one in the car currently).

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States in November 2015. Currently for sale at Promus Vehicles of Stockport. An absolutely stunning series 1 coupe, the car maintains its matching numbers. It has had a light exterior restoration, new bumpers and stainless and chrome trim, with 4 new and correct knock off wheels with redline tyres. The interior is completely original and in really nice shape. The car is a lovely drive and the 265hp 3.8 litre engine pulls well, the 4 speed manual gearbox shifts tightly and smoothly. The brake master cylinder may need to be replaced in the near future as the car stops but it takes a lot of pedal power to do so.
The car was sold new and has spent most of its life in California. It has had three previous owners and is nicely documented with almost every annual registration card dating back to 1964. The car has only 44,590 miles on it and it has an actual miles title that accompanies it. There are $8,000 of receipts for work done to the car including carburettor rebuilds, heater box replacement, new front steering and suspension component replacements. There are a lot of spare parts that go with the car as well as extra knock of wheels and the original tyres that came with this car, the correct material to recover the dash top, all new rubber moulding and a brand new dash pad; although there is nothing wrong with the one in the car currently.
The car has been MOT'd and failed on some minor points including some light corrosion on the sill. A stunning vehicle and an appreciating asset. £69,950.
