Now for sale in the UK with Vintage and Prestige
www.vintagerollsroycecars.com

£138,000

A fresh 100 point restoration has just been completed on this MATCHING NUMBERS early E Type Fixed head coupe. The car is finished in its original colours of Black exterior & black interior.

The car was shipped on the 15th of December 1962 via Jaguar cars New York to its First owner, one Mr John Bonder of Berkeley California where the dry climate helped with its preservation.

Two years ago a nut & bolt photographically documented restoration was undertaken which was completed two months ago. Since then the car has covered a scant 77 testing miles. We are in the process of UK registering it. In addition to the Heritage certificate the car also comes with a California title as it spent its entire life there prior to restoration.

[Note previous entry here said the car was in the Philipines]

For auction at Historics at Brooklands. 20 May 2017

Make: Jaguar
Year: 1962
VIN: 887683
Registration: EU Taxes Paid
Transmission Type/Speeds: Manual
Estimate - Range: 110000 - 130000
Item Location - Country: United Kingdom

This stunning, early example from the second year of production is finished in its rare and original colour scheme of black with a black hide interior as confirmed by the accompanying Heritage Trust Certificate. Estimates suggest around 70 Series I E-Types originally finished in black (including 4.2's) survive today; it is refreshing to see this iconic shape in black.Built on 28th November 1962 and dispatched on 15th December, the first owner, Jon Bondner of Berkeley,California, took delivery of the car through original distributor Jaguar Cars of New York. The Heritage Trust certificate confirms that the engine block and head are matching numbers completing the originality of the car. In 2013-2014, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration bringing it to its current condition, with a photographic record contained in the cars history file. For the last few years, the car has been part of a significant UK collection and is supplied with EU taxes paid documentation and a US Certificate of Title as well as an Operating, Maintenance and Service handbook. Registration in the UK is a simple procedure and its new owner being the first recorded keeper. A stunning and graceful example of arguably the most desirable variant of the iconic E-Type.
