Ebay item 5/24/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1963-Jaguar-E-Type-FHC-coupe-/29043838 ...
Opening bid $29,000, no reserve, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is an early Jaguar E-Type in very good condition. The power plant is a 3.8 liter straight 6 matched to a 4 speed gearbox with a non-syncro 1st gear. It has Minilite knock offs from XK's Unlimited. The interior is freshly redone in black leather with a new headliner. The paint is fairly fresh, although there are a couple of scratches. This vehicle is a driver. It is not in perfect condition. But that said, it is absolutely beautiful. The chrome is all very good as is all the rubber and the car has many new parts. It runs great, starts right up when cold or hot and turns heads where ever it goes. It is a positive ground car (as original). All the electrics work as far as I know.
The main thing that is missing in the car is the heater assembly. The box is installed but is missing the fan and heater core. I have new heater pipes for under the dash that are not installed. There are probably various other heater related parts that are missing but since this is a California car I never missed the heater so I never went out of my way to take care of it. And it makes it so much easier to get to the battery when the heater box is not there.
Other items included with the car but not installed are the original set of wire wheels (which need refurbishing) along with the original knock offs, new stiffer rear springs and new torsion bars for the front. I also have the "Amco" bar for the front bumper, which I never installed it because I don't care for that look. But it is freshly rechromed and ready to install. I have what I believe is the original radio (a tube Motorola), as well as many other parts I've accumulated over the 20+ years I've owned this car. Any and all of it is included with the purchase if the buy so desires.
This is a beautiful car in a very desirable year.

I don't mind if you want to post pictures of my car on your site. But to make uninformed assessments of the cars condition without a physical inspection or even a phone call is just wrong. It diminishes the reliability of the site as a whole and makes you wonder how much other unreliable or just incorrect information is listed here. And it reinforces the fact that the information you get off the internet is probably not 100% correct. And the car is not "British Racing Green" as assumed but Mazda paint code M8.
