Sellers description:
1962, august, jaguar coupe. recently uncovered from a long term storage, the engine burst into life and has 170 psi compression with a crank test. some timing chain noise but good oil pressure, should be easy to rebuild, this car is a great restoration project and appears to be complete, i do have the air cleaner pieces which were removed to start the engine. the car will drive around the block although the clutch slips a little and the brakes are not working properly. but this proves that its complete and functioning.not many of these early 3.8 coupes around in this condition, others for sale are often dismantled and incomplete. the car does have a set of the german market spinners and a kph speedo, if you check the number on xke data you will see its one of a few cars built for the german market during that month, this should be desireable to german buyers, the origional colors were black with red interior
