This E-Type was produced in December 1961 and in January 1962 he was delivered to Jaguar of Eastern Canada in Montreal. It's a very early car with welded louvers in the bonnet. The car's origins are documented with the important Heritage-Trust Certificate. From 1987 to 1990 the Jaguar was completely restored in Canada with a photo-documentation and receipts showing all the work done. It is a multiple concours show-winner with the Ontario Jaguar Owners Association. In 2014/15 the body was restored again in Switzerland. This Flat Floor, with the last MOT (incl. Swiss Veteran status) completed in February 2016, is in excellent condition and undoubtedly will thrill the next owner not only during rallies and meetings but also on the Concours lawns!

Note, the motor number is a out of sequence for this car. Worthy of question.

I agree, The vin plate is a restamp. The motor number is a June July 1962 era motor. The Heritage Certificate would have the original engine number on it. I do not see that photo.

How does one know when the Heritage Certificate is authentic ?

Clearly a non matching number car. Avoid!!
2018-01-24 07:48:49 | wagstefan writes:
a bit picky - eh?!
The car is nice. I am not sure, if all cars always need to be matching. There are some maniacs out there, who really loves the car due to its story, its beauty and Performance and not only due to being an investment object obeying some strange rules made from whom?! I accept a surplus in price when matching. And yes, in an honest description I would expect to read about this fact. But after that it is a rare Flatfloor FHC..... there have been not so many!

Values will always be effect by dubious Heritage Certificates, data plates and non matching numbers.
2018-01-24 16:21:12 | Stefan writes:
Ah, I see....the data or VIN-plate with the wrong engine Information - okay. Then apologise! This is deception and I am with you!
But being honest about a good car not having its total matching numbers items will effect price, but should not lead to an "AVOID". That was the point I was trying to make. Faking Information is a different kattle of fish
