For sale at Hemmings.com by Jaguar America LLC in Lockhart Texas. Represented as having 19,000 miles with an original interior and only an exterior re-spray in the original color.

Description from above listing:

Jaguar E-type S1 FHC 3.8 1961, Chassis 885056 Welded Louver Car. Un restored car with matching numbers.

Finished in Old English White with Black Leather upholstery.

Number 56 is one of the most original unmolested early E-types offered for sale in recent years. Every part that was replaced such as hoses and brake flexi lines were replaced with original factory old stock parts, nothing reproduction has been used in the recommissioning.

The exterior body has been repainted only. The door shuts, underside of the bonnet, engine frames and inside the boot is factory paint.

The Interior is totally original and never restored.

Unlike some cars in this untouched state No 56 is a perfectly running and driving car.

Early cars in such original condition are extremely difficult if not impossible to find more than 60 years later.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
