Was for sale at BHCC, the 6th september 2016 (sold).

1961 Jaguar XKE Flat Floor Fixed Head Coupe with a louvered bonnet, matching numbers and comes with a heritage certificate. Manufactured on the 11th of September 1961 almost 55 years to the present day and still wearing its original and highly coveted factory black with red interior chassis#885031 was originally owned by Vice Admiral H.E Overesch of the United States Navy and then sold to its second owner in 1974 who owned the car until 2016. Still equipped with its original 3.8 liter with triple SU carburetors, covered headlights, flat floors, louvered bonnet, wood steering wheel, aluminum dash and wire wheels. Quite likely to be the earliest E-Type available on the open market. Tremendous potential. Don't miss this very rare opportunity to own and restore or collect the 31st left-hand-drive E-Type fixed head coupe. For $135,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
