Ebay item 5/1/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-ROADSTER-EXCEPTIONAL-XKE-ARIZONA-CAR_W ...
Current bid $33,100 reserve not met, 6 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
PRISTINE 1964 XKE ROADSTER. THIS BEAUTY HAS BEEN OWNED BY THE SAME ARIZONA OWNER FOR THE PAST 10 PLUS YEARS. THE OWNER IS A CAR AFECIANADO AND HAS OWNED A VERY NICE COLLECTION OF SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS. DUE TO CHANGES IN RESIDENCE AND PARKING AVAILABILITY THIS WONDERFUL BRITISH LEGEND IS NOW FOR SALE.
THIS CAR WAS DISASSEMBLED AND RECONDITIONED LESS THAN 7 YEARS AGO AND IT SHOWS, EVERY MECHANICAL SYSTEM AND COSMETIC DETAIL HAS BEEN ATTENDED TO. THE ENGINE & TRANSMISSION WERE GONE THROUGH, THE PAINT & BODY HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AS WELL AS THE INTERIOR AND NEW CANVAS TOP. THE CAR SITS ON BRILLIANT FACTORY JAGUAR CHROME WIRE WHEELS, AND TIME ERA CORRECT RADIAL TIRES.

THE EXHAUST NOTE IS MELODICAL AS IT RESINATES FROM THE NEW ORIGINAL STYLE DUAL EXHAUST TIPS. THIS IS AN ARIZONA CAR AND IT SHOWS, NO RUST ISSUES. THE CAR STARTS AND OPERATES JUST AS IT SHOULD. THIS IS A TURN KEY PURCHASE THAT NEEDS TO BE ENJOYED AND DISPLAYED.

The car was bought from Sports and collector car center Tempe Arizona August 2008 and imported to Oslo Norway. The car is in very good condiditon, and is enjoyed in the summer season, stored during winter.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
