3.8 OTS bought 2002 as a box of parts. Currently under complete restoration to be essentialy original but with some performance, handling and reliability upgrades to be an occasional driver.
This example appears to have had much body and chassis work completed previously by persons unknown. I believe that my E-Type has not been on the road for many years.

Ebay item 7/21/08
coachwerks.com/new/gallery_british.htm It is a fully sorted car, with 3,500mi since the restoration. It has some sympathetic upgrades including wider 15” wheels, Willwood brakes, upgraded radiator fans, conversion to an alternator from a generator, and nylon suspension bushings. It also has a later E Type 4sp Syncro gearbox installed, although the car comes with the original Moss box. The car has all original major components, with the exception of the engine block, which has been substituted for a replacement 3.8L block. The numbers-matching original block is included, though it is damaged.

Critically on an E Type the bonnet fit and door shut-lines are excellent and almost certainly better than when the car left the factory. The car is, for all intent and purposes, flawless. On extremely close examination, on my hands and knees, I did notice a slight hair-line crack, less than one 1cm, on the bottom trailing edge corner of the passenger door. That’s it.

This is an opportunity to purchase a “Concours” example of a very desirable specification early E Type that has had the benefit of having some sympathetic upgrades, and being properly run in and fully sorted. It is ready to enjoy.

I am selling the car for a well-known Calgary collector who is rationalizing his collection. It is located and registered in Calgary Canada.

The car has been completely and professionally restored in Vancouver. The original engine was replaced by a similar 3.8 liter. The gearbox has been replaced by a later model 4 speed with synchromesh. New poly bushings in the front end, upgraded fan, 15X6 72 spoke wheels, braided brakelines, alternator, willwood disc brakes.
