Car to be at auction 3/15
www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1964-jaguar-e-type-series-i-3-8-litre-roadster/
Auction description:
1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Roadster
Amelia Island 2015
Estimate: $225,000 - $325,000 Without Reserve
Chassis: 880192
Lot 63
Offered with less than 30,000 miles recorded, the E-Type benefits from a complete service, plus clutch and fuel-system work during the present ownership. The upholstery and convertible top were replaced during the 1990s and, more recently, a stainless-steel exhaust system including headers was installed by the consignor.
Displaying a beautiful patina, the E-Type includes the original hardtop and ceramic-coated exhaust manifold, tool kit, jack, a new Thor hammer, numerous spare parts, and a car cover. Comprehensive documents including the 1965 Bill of Sale, JDHT Certificate of Authenticity, owner's manual, articles, receipts, and photographs make this an E-Type worthy of careful consideration.
SOLD: $143,000

Auction description:
Scottsdale 2020
NO RESERVE
Lot1390.1
1964 JAGUAR XK8 ROADSTER
VIN 880192 Exterior Color SILVER/GREY
Interior Color BLACK
Powered by a 3.8-liter DOHC inline-6 engine sending power to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. This matching-numbers 1964 Jaguar XKE Series I OTS is an unrestored example with under 30,000 original miles. The original Opalescent Silver Gray finish sports a mild patina and the black interior was updated in the 1990s by the original owner. Aside from the updated upholstery the only non-original parts on this XKE are the convertible top and stainless-steel headers and exhaust system. The original ceramic-coated headers are included. Additionally, the original tool kit, jack, original 1965 Bill of Sale, shop manual, original hardtop, parts breakdowns, catalogs and receipts are included as well. The XKE Series I OTS is one of less than 8,000 produced and features chrome wire knock-off wheels with 4-wheel servo-assisted Dunlop disc brakes, with inboard mounted rear rotors. The XKE also features 4-wheel independent suspension with tubular shock absorbers, double wishbones, telescopic dampers as well as a torsion bar mounted up front and radius arms and double coilovers mounted in the rear. The Malcolm Sayers designed XKE remains an icon and this two-owner matching-numbers example includes the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate 2942. From The Sam Pack Collection.
