Now on sale in the UK

An excellent opportunity to purchase a highly desirable 1963 Jaguar E Type 3.8 Roadster chassis number 879902 requiring full restoration

I have a Jaguar Heritage Certificate for this car which confirms that this left hand drive E Type was originally distributed by Jaguar Cars in New York. The original colour combination was Carmen Red with black trim. It has a factory hard top with the very rare chrome trim intact. The engine block has the correct engine number but the head is unstamped. The oil filter housing and sump are not correct.

As you can see by the photos the car will require a full restoration. It was my intention to purchase a new Martin Robey body shell as the original shell is badly rusted. With these early cars now changing hands of upwards of £150,000 once restored, this is a very worth while project.

I have set the reserve at what a similar car sold for on eBay recently, also needing a full restoration but without a hard top and fitted with a MK2 saloon engine on twin SU's !

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
