Sellers description:
JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES I 3.8 OTS ROADSTER 1964. BARN FIND.

This 3.8 Roadster has the original engine/gearbox and has all matching numbers.

The previous owner said he bought the car in the mid to late 1960s. In the mid-1970s he took the car off the road to do a valve job and work on the back end. He started the work by pulling off the cylinder head and taking out the back end. Progress then stalled so the car sat in his large wooden barn until he decided to sell it. The car has therefore been off the road for approximately 39 years. The head is now back on the engine and the back end is in the car, for easier transportation.
There is some rust in the car and damage to the center section of the bonnet.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
