Ebay item 5/27/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-OTS-1963-Roadster-matching-numbers-Origina ...
Current bid $37,766 reserve not met 10 bids 9 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J63879102
Sellers description:
This is a nicely restored series one 3.8 E-Type The restoration was finished about 6 years ago and has been driven about 3,000 miles since that time. Car was upgraded with an all-synchro 4-speed gearbox from a later 4.2 E .
Restoration included: Engine rebuild, all accessories rebuilt, new clutch, brakes, suspension and shocks, cooling system, and fuel system also done as necessary. Car had an excellent, rust free body, prior to restoration and carries all its original body panels. Car was painted a metallic light-green color, but in the last few years a few cracks have appeared in the paint that will have to be spotted in. Interior was completely re-done in all original materials with a black Stay-fast canvas top. All the major chrome pieces were also re-plated at that time. Wheels are "Dayton" 6 inch wide Chrome wires, with Pirelli 205/70 P400 radials. Car also comes with the very rare Factory hardtop. Hardtop was also totally restored and painted the same color as the car (over $3,000 invested in hardtop). Also included is full factory tool kit, manuals, and original jack.
This "E" drives great, does not overheat, and is a very fun car to drive. I'm selling this car for my good friend, who has owned it for many years, car is currently registered and ready to drive.
Please call or e-mail with any questions. Car can be seen and inspected in Reseda, CA.

Newport Beach 2014
Consignment # 8244
VIN: J63879102
1963 Jaguar XKE Roadster
Offered Without Reserve
This remarkable example is a matching numbers example with an approximate 63,000 miles of use. It is currently owned by, and offered for sale on behalf of, the son of the late Christopher Greaves, a former mechanic with the legendary Jaguar racing team Ecurie Ecosse, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and many other international events for Jaguar and other top marques of the 1950s and 1960s.
The E-Type was expertly restored by Classic Vision Restoration in Burbank, California. To those few classic-car enthusiasts not familiar with their work, Classic Vision is responsible for two Pebble Beach Best of Show restorations, plus six Pebble Beach Best in Class awards and many more top concours-winning restorations. Striking in Opalescent Gunmetal Grey over Red, this exceptional 'Series I' E-Type is offered complete with an original service manual and its corresponding Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate of Authenticity.
