For sale on CarJager :

www.carjager.com/acheter/voiture-collection/jaguar-type-e-CJVCL0408230904HQP.htm ...

Asking price : €156,000

Seller's description :

L’auto a été livrée neuve à New-York.

Translation:

The car was delivered new in New York. The current owner bought it in 2004, via a professional. In 2008, he launched a complete restoration that will last 4 years.

State :

General: This car is in remarkable condition, close to its original restoration condition.

Exterior: The restoration of the bodywork was very well done, in its original colour. The chrome, rims, headlights, and all exterior ornaments are in excellent condition.

Interior: The red leather interior is of a remarkable finish. This shade contrasts nicely with the light exterior. The on-board equipment all works, even the watch!

Mechanics: The car has only driven 8,000 kilometers since the restoration, with regular use since and serious maintenance. Thus, its overall functioning is excellent. During the restoration, the original engine block was rectified and fitted with new pistons, new crankshaft and camshafts as well. The idle is very stable, proof of a well-balanced and perfectly adjusted mechanism. Overall, we can consider that the sealing is good. Some "normal" micro oozes are still visible, specific to any old Jaguar. The cooling has been made more reliable using an aluminum radiator and a reinforced fan. The running gear has also been refurbished. Road behavior is both flexible and efficient, without the slightest vibration. KONI shock absorbers provide noticeable road-holding comfort. The original Moss box has been very well redone, it is even pleasant in the standard of operation of these boxes. The original disc brakes work well.

Foundations: The technical parts and the foundations are very sound. During the restoration with stripping of the chassis, no trace of shock was found. The “Eiffel Tower” is still the original one, checked, with good odds.
