Ebay item 4/4/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-1962-Jaguar-XKE-Roadster-/321370358088
Opening bid $60,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Our XKE is an older restoration, of some 10 years. It has always been in a dry, heated garage. Only driven on sunny days, locally.

New tires and new Dayton stainlees/ chrome wire wheels are a just couple of years old, and still as new and true. Very little mileage on car since restoration, and only taken out 3 or 4 times last summer. Drives excellent. All systems work fine- brakes, cooling fuel, electric. Car was completely restored. I will post a few scanned photos of the car during restoration. Everything was gone over, rebuilt or replaced.

I changed the Lucas generator out for a very highly efficient, small aircraft alternator about 5 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. I still have the Lucas generator. It needs a rebuild and comes with the car. I also have the stock wood steering wheel that comes with the car, in great shape. I just prefer a smaller wheel The tires are the proper stock size, Vredesteins. I have the front bumpers and will put them for a new owner if they so wish. I just like 'the lightweight e-type' look, as was the Jag racing team cars of the early 60's.

All the chrome was redone, seats redone, wiring, carbs, differential, engine, gearbox, brakes . It runs out straight and strong. I don't think I have ever put up the top. Rust free body. This was a clean car before the restoration was done.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
