    Car returns to ebay 5/18/06
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Most-Wanted-8507924805_W0QQitemZ4641537649
Opening bid $50,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. Current location Macon, Georgia. 78k miles.

    Sellers description:
This beautiful 1962 XKE Roadster is the most sought after. They very rarely come up for sale that are in this condition. It took me three years to find, the last one that did on the internet was this one and I bought it. All matching numbers. This car has an incredible paint job with a wonderful interior. The car runs great with the oil pressure and engine temperature always being right where they should be. I keep it in a climate controlled storage locker and keep it covered in the locker. I took the radio out, which was not original, and put in a new CD player so I could have music, I actually do not listen to it that much because the engine is what I listen too. When I do drive it, only in perfect weather, I have actually had people turn around and follow me to see it. Poeple really want the 62 because they did not make that many and it has the brushed aluminum dash and console with the toggle switches. Everything works perfectly except the clock.

I bough the car in great shape but I added All NEW:
New carpeting and floor mats, canvas top cover, Coker tires that are the right size (200 miles on them), thermal sensor, radiator overflow tank and cap, 12 blade radiator fan (original was 2 blades, keeps the engine very cool), cd player, brushed aluminum console and dash, ball joints, tie rods, steering rack boots, battery and battery lock down, new brakes (these are updated Mopor that make the car stop alot better and do not wear out as often as the original), new steering wheel (I have the original), new gear shift knob (mahogany to match the steering wheel),

I have a great mechanic and I have all his work receipts as well as many of the previous owners. There is absolutely no rust issues or I would not have bought the car. I believe the mileage to be correct. The original enamel has come off the engine and I was going to have it re-done but my mechanic said it would be very expensive and not worth it because it would just come off again.

This is an incredible car and a great opportunity for somebody.

Car returns to eBay again... on 9/8/06, the following can be read on lundeenke@msn.com for the quickest response!!"

Indeed: price, $6800 for a seemingly near perfect car, offered (for a second time) three weeks ago with an opning bide of 50,000..... Unbid, then - and now someone ask for "qualified" bidders.......

Fishy, if you ask me - hoax, to put it mildly!
Let's hope nobody is tempted to "buy" it!

1962 S 1 Jaguar E Type Roadster Fully restored . This car was a solid straight rust free car to begin with and has been restored to its current condition within the last 5 years. It was then sold to its previous owner who had the car Fully restored and all receipts are available, there is a stack of restoration invoices and receipts. The car has never been wrecked or rusted anywhere in anyway. It is a numbers matching car.
