Opening bid $40,000 reserve price not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. 80k miles.

Sellers description:
1961 Jaguar E type roadster. I bought this car from the original owner little old lady after chasing her down Sunset Blvd in Pacific Palasades in Los Angeles. She was the original owner, her husband bought it for her as a gift. I bought it from her about 10 years ago. I have had the engine rebuilt by Peters Marina Service in Venice Ca It has matching numbers. It has never been restored. The only rust spot is in the drain hole in the trunk channel about a quarter sized. The car is fast and powerful. Black on black makes it even better. This is a fantastic driver that looks beautiful and drives like an E type should.

Opening bid $35,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I had listed this E type on Ebay before the summer and came very close to selling it. Time ran out before I agreed to sell and I moved to the east coast for the summer. The car was stored in Ventura California while I was away. Thats the history...heres the car. I really did chase this E type down Sunset Blvd in Pacific Palasades about 10 years ago and convinced the owner, a 60+ year old lady, to sell her precious E roadster. Her husband had bought it for her as a gift since it had always been her favorite car. The car is the same as when I bought it except I had Peters Marina Service, a fantastic English car mechanic in Venice, Ca completely rebuild the motor, trans, clutch and such. The car runs and drives beautifully. It is very fast, I mean fast and purrs like the cat it is. The car has no rust except a tiny bit around one of the trunk drain holes. I dont think it is even through the metal, I believe it is just surface and smaller then 2 inch in diameter. This is a driver not a show car. My wife and I take it to Santa Barbera etc for small trips regularly and it is a joy. The car is in overall great conition with everything working. This Jag does not overheat! Even in summer LA wheather. Tough to find such an original great condition, incredibly driving E Roadster from California...I know, I have looked.
