This car is mentioned in a letter to "Jaguar Driver" magazine June 1982 by the then owner, Roger Styles of Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England. He stated that he bought if from Southern California where it had been since new, being the first in the area. He stated is was totally original and rust-free and said "...with the features I could do without, flat floor and no recess behind the bucket seats(I'm over 6 feet), side bonnet locks and inset bonnet louvres..."
