General information:

The rare ’attribute is also attached to the vehicle presented here, in case it cannot even be described as a one-off due to its unique history. A Jaguar E-Type Coupé 3.8 S1, chassis number 861092, which was registered for the first time on April 4, 1963, will be auctioned. The S1 stands for Series 1, making it one of the coveted early versions. The vehicle has a famous first owner named Sir Peter Allen. He had the Jaguar in his possession until about 1986 and bought the car again at the time and took him to his adopted home Uganda in East Africa, where he worked as a lawyer in the senior civil service of the former British colony. There he achieved a certain local fame and was also known as the “Jaguar Judge” because of his preference for automobiles. In the course of political upheaval, Sir Peter Allen became the de facto President of Uganda for four days in 1985. About a year later, Allen left the country and returned to the United Kingdom. With him also his E-Type, as shown by the original documents enclosed with the vehicle. Sir Peter Allen then sold the Jaguar on his return to the island due to its age. The new owner in England then registered the Jaguar. In his possession, it was technically and visually extensively revised, which the numerous invoices and documents prove in detail. So again: Here you get the chance to buy a Jaguar E-Type from the rare and beautiful first series, driven for many years in Africa by a British aristocrat, the four-day president of Uganda. Who can say that about their vehicle? Numerous documents and papers attest to this unique history of the automobile. The car is now being sold from a private estate.

Location: Reutlingen, Baden Wurttenburg, Germany
