I owned 290CUT from Spring 1967 to late 1968, and in the Jaguar 'Periodic Maintenance Voucher' Book, which I have, it states that its first service was done on 24.04.63, when the mileage was 503 miles. This service was stamped by Walter Burgess & Sons Ltd., Walnut Street, Leicester. Only one other service entry was dated 03.08.63, and stamped by Rosemead Service Station, ( John A. Tealby ), and no mileage was entered, but the next voucher was for the 10,000 miles Service. The intervals between services is noted as 2,500 miles, so perhaps the mileage at 03.08.63, was in the region of 7,500. I last saw the car was on 26.04.95, at a garage in North Birmingham.

The car is now owned by Mr Martin Melling.It was bought in 2014 after a long term storage,it was stripped to a bare shell and has a total rebuild to a GTS7 FIA spec race car. It is now in Gunmetal with Black trim. it still has its original reg no of 290 CUT and is road legal.. Pictures can be found on the net racing from 2014 to the presant day..
