I have owned the car since about 1980.. It has not been on the road or registered since 1984. Due to a blown welsh plug at back of motor. Total restoration since then, mechanical , body, rails and paint. New stainless exhaust. No rust in car. First and all registrations in Australia. Not run in yet.
Now for sale because of health & back problems.

I have just had to have a total right knee replacement and it is almost impossible for me to get into the car now.
So it is still for sale.

Advertised for sale by Concours Sportscar Restoration January 2024 asking AU$175,000. Car is in Sydney. Selling agent’s description (edited and abridged) follows:
Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate states car was originally finished in Opalescent Bronze with Beige interior and dispatched to Henleys, London on 4th of April, 1962. This is an original, right hand drive, matching numbers, fixed head coupé that is mechanically sorted. Included is an extensive history file, a rare Shelley bottle jack, original workshop manual and spare parts catalogue and handbook. The car has travelled only 477 miles since 1984 and only 9727 since 1972! Documentation included with the car verifies ownership history back to 1971 as follows:
1971-1976 Car purchased Nov 1971 by Chris Lloyd of Newport (NSW) from car dealer Brian R Woo for the sum of $3650. Registration number was EXK001. In 1972 the colour of the car was still Opalescent Bronze and the speedometer was noted to be showing 77543 miles. The engine was rebuilt in 1975 by Compact Repair Centre in Mona Vale and other repairs were carried out during Chris’s ownership.
1976-2014 Car was purchased April 1976 by Jim Redman, of Sydney. Early on in his ownership the car was repainted white. In 1984 the speedometer showed 86793 miles and, as noted by the then owner, “the car was taken off the road in 1984 and restored from end to end”. The engine was rebuilt in 1994 by Jaguar specialists, Paradise Garage. At that time the front of car was dismantled back to the firewall, and the firewall and frames were painted white to match the exterior. After being off the road since 1984 the car was re-registered in 2013, and offered for sale for health reasons.
2014-2024 Current owner. The car came to Concours Sportscar Restoration late in 2023 for re-commissioning after an extended lay up due to a failed fuel pump. Extensive mechanical work included restoring carburettors, fitting new stainless exhaust system, overhauling cooling system, overhauling brake system, fitting new splined hubs, new tyres, wheel alignment and dyno’ tune. Inside the car new alloy dash facias were installed along with re-trimming of the console and door trims.
