Seller's description;
The Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Series 1 Roadster (chassis number 850810) offered here at Autostorico is finished in Carmen Red with Black leather interior. This original UK example was supplied by P.J. Evans of Birmingham to its first owner Mr E.G. Lamb of Stourbridge on 3rd April 1964. The current owner purchased this beautiful example in September 2007 and has maintained it to a very high standard with no expense spared. During this period notable works have included: a full respray with new chrome, removal of engine to paint and detail the engine bay, a full mechanical overhaul carried out by a Jaguar specialist in Essex including full engine rebuild, fitting a full synchro 4 speed Jaguar gearbox and diaphragm clutch, full suspension rebuild including fitting Koni shock absorbers to the front and rear, brake overhaul including fitting Coopercraft upgraded callipers, an upgraded radiator and cooling fan. In 2017 the car benefitted from a stunning re-trim with new leather, new carpets and a new hood.
Offered for sale with a current V5 registration document, MOT certificate valid until September 2019 and a history file containing numerous invoices including Heritage Certificate. This car offers the purchaser an opportunity to own a fine example of the most desirable Series 1 E-Type, which will certainly appreciate further over time.
