I believe chassis 850077, an early roadster and had Registration number MFB 681 registered 14/07/1961, and at one time was owned by a Flight Lt at RAF Valley Anglesey.

I have owned 850077 since 1980, i purchased it from a Mr N Haslam in Chester, i know he owned it for some 10 years after buying it from a driving instructor whom i believe bought it from Anglesey. It was originally supplied by Henlys to a Mr H Butler on the 14th of july 1961. I really should make an effort to find out the missing bits of ownership. Reg no MFB 681, colour carmen red, engine no R.1294/9. Condition, suffice to say together we took part in the 50th anniversary trip from Coventry to Geneva Switzerland and back some 2000 miles in a week, the only mishap a burnt out coil right outside the hotel in Geneva. The car is not concours but is used regularly and likes going to shows.

this e-type has never been through a restoration process, any work over the years has only been done to keep it tidy, safe, legal and roadworthy, guaranteed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
