I owned this car bought from Henlys in 1964 and sold it in 1966. I have photograph of it.

I owned this car in about 1965/6. It was Henlys' first demonstrator White with Red leather black hood. Leaked like a sieve in the rain. Was becoming very rusty. Bought from a dealer in North London/Herts.

I owned this vehicle from c1966 and sold in c1969, it drove like a dream and was completely trouble free. The three two inch carb's were a pleasure to tune for maximum sport (triple S.U. HD.8 type, with UM needles) and the car cosmetically received a dashboard upgrade (in retrospect regrettable). I still have a dinked wheel nut!

This car was never 903 CXX. That was the original reg of 850030. I stll have the original log book and V% for that car.

I owned 903 CXX, 1969 to 71, and was the driver when loaned for the film. The only problem I had with the car was a failed cooling fan in the South of France.

Something odd going on here as 850032 was manufactured dark opalescent green with green interior.....maybe it was repainted early in its life?

Paul ,Just to say all the comments above relate to vehicle 903 CXX ,which is not this car .They should be with (850030).
This car (850032) was delivered to Parkers,Bolton.First owner was Oswald Edmund Berry, who was someone with Rally experience in XK,s,not sure what else, but would be good to find out more about him.He lived in Preston ,Lancashire. There is also some possibility that another later owner was one of the Great Train robbers Roy James, but no concrete evidence of this.Would also be good to find out more on this?
The car still has its original colours of Opl. Dark Green with Green interior. There is evidence on the car that it was at some time white though, and it has also been Blue.It still retains all of its very rare original components, amazing car.

Gavin. In regards to Oswald Edmund Berry, he did indeed own this car. He managed to afford the car by embezzling funds from a local family business called Fosters and Parker Haulage Ltd. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison and I assume lost his assets (rightly so!).

I acknowledge that this was not the car I owned but mine was 850030. The photograph I uploaded should be removed. I will add it to 850030.

Thanks for information anonymous. Sounds like the car had a rather chequered early history.Would be great to find out more if possible?
