Sellers description:
1970 Jaguar E-type S2 4.2 Roadster LHD, currently in California

This is an ideal opportunity to get into a very original unrestored Jaguar E-type Roadster straight from California. Whilst it is not a show car it is every bit as desirable. Unmolested E-types like this seldom come onto the market and as such this particular car represents exceptional value for money and can easily be improved whilst being used and enjoyed.

An all matching numbers car, with an exceptionally rust free body. Whilst the exterior has had a poor quality respray many years ago, the paint in the boot, underside of the bonnet, bulkhead and engine frames is still factory and in amazing condition. Even the factory sticker on the inner bonnet panel is still present and in good shape.

Inside the car you will see that the seats have just been re-trimmed in the correct leather and finish and the carpets have been replaced, however the sill coverings, hardura's, centre consul, door panels and dash are still factory original.

Mechanically the car does run and drive. The engine sounds quite and shows good oil pressure, the clutch and gear change is perfect. The brakes require bleeding or further attention as the pedal travels almost to the floor. The car will require some attention before it can be used on the road, however it shouldn't require much more that a good service and going through the mechanics thoroughly.

Unmolested cars like this very rarely come and as such represents an ideal opportunity to getting into an iconic Jaguar E-type roadster that is truly good value.

The car is currently in California but shipping can be arrange to any destination. Please enquire. We have facilities in the UK and California so importation to the EU is not an issue for us.

Options are available and conversion to right hand drive can be undertaken at our facility in California.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
