Opening bid $14,500, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $19,500. 55k miles.

Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar XKE Coupe series 3 with the famous and legendary V12 engine, the car has been owned by the same older gentlemen for the past 20 years in which the maintenance was meticulously done and no money has been spared maintaining this car, as it shows. The body is nice and straight with no rust whatsoever except for minor surfaced rust on drivers door which if I did not mention, it is not noticeable. On a scale from 1 - 10; the paint is probably a 7. This car runs and drives, as the gentlemen who owned it for 20 years used it every summer when he came to his Florida residence for winter. It is powerful, the engine is tight. A compression test was just taken and it has excellent compression throughout the 12 cylinders. (140 pounds on all cylinders) and excellent oil pressure. The car runs smooth and shifts smooth as it should. Recently; 1 day ago the spark plugs, ignition wires, and water thermostats were replaced, system flushed and new anti-freeze added. I have been around these cars for most of my life and it is hard to see a car in the condition that this one is in without being restored, this car is a daily driver and everything works on the car with the exception of the horn. It has a cold air conditioning and 134A gas was just added to top up. The interior of this car is in extremely good condition on a scale from 1 - 10, the interior is probably an 8. New front shocks, replaced recently. One more thing, the drivers door hinge has some wear and should be replaced in future, other than that I can truly say that there is nothing major that needs to be done to this car. If you are looking for a nice example of a road worthy XKE that is original without having been restored but very well maintained and a true driver for not concourse, or restored prices then this is the car for you.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
