Ebay item 8/2/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-3-V12-1972-Jaguar-XKE-V12-Series-3- ...
Current bid $5,350.00 (Reserve not met), 4 bids, 5 days left in auction. 77k miles.
Sellers description:
This 72 jaguar is in verry good condition but needs minor rust repair and complete repaint. This car runs and drives it and has been graged for the last 20 years and only driven 2000 miles during that time. This car is verry complete and has never ben in an accident. It has a 6 double choke Weber downdraft carb conversion. The air conditioning system is complete but may not work. A new water pump and belts were installed last month. A new clutch was installed 2000 miles agao. This car would be easy to restore. The rust damage can be seen in the pictures.

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Rare-72-E-Type-V-12-4-speed-NO-RESERVE_W0Q ...
Opening bid $13,500, no reserve, no bids yet, 17hrs left in auction. Current location Lucinda, Iowa.
Sellers description:
1972 V-12 Jaguar with only 77,587 original miles. This car has been garaged most of its life. The car is in very good condition. Everything is original on the car except for the red paint and the "Weber 6 - 2 barrel carburation system".
This car has the following options: V-12, 2+2, 4-speed and air conditioning. This engine is powered by an after market 6 Weber 2 barrel set up that looks extremely hot under the hood. The motor runs very well, but sputters under full throttle. It may need some more tuning or just have some bad gas. The air conditioning does work, but needs charged. The shift linkage may need adjusted as well due to a slight grind when shifting into 2nd gear. The ignition light stays on so it may not be charging 100%.
The body is in very good condition with very little rust. The rust is very minor and located at the bottom rear of the passenger side rocker. There is also a small spot on the driver side, behind the rear wheel. Please see pictures. There is also several small paint chips as well as a small dent in the passenger door.
The interior is in above average condition for a 1972. The dash is in very good condition and all the gauges works well. The speedometer gauge does bounce around a little. There is some very minor wear and tear on the seats and slight dis-coloration in the rear hatch area. There is one small hole in the carpet under the driver side floor mat.
Bid with confidence, this is an excellent opportunity to own an original E-type V-12 Jaguar with no reserve! You would be hard pressed to find a Jaguar, in this kind of shape with these options, for this kind of money.
Previous auction ended at $7,301.00 (Reserve not met) after 14 bids.

Sellers description:
The car was acquired as a hobby about 3 years ago (January 2006) and a lot of upgrade work has been done since then. However, I no longer have the spare time to allocate to it (since acquiring the car, my wife and I have purchased 2 horses and have moved to a rural property suitable for horses outside of Houston). With the horses and all that entails, I just do not have time to enjoy this car (I have driven it less than 2,000 miles since acquiring it). Quite a bit of work was done on the car after I purchased it. This work includes replacement of the exhaust system downstream of the manifolds and collectors including replacement of the crossover pipe, mufflers and pipes/resonator and adding a 4-tip chrome exhaust outlet, replaced one A/C hose and the A/C filter/dryer and the A/C fan switch and recharged with R-12, flushed and painted the radiator, replaced the starter motor, replaced 1 of the 2 cooling fan motors, added Sony radio/CD player and replaced speakers, replaced fuel pump with OEM pump, repainted gas tank, replaced the brake master cylinder and rebuilt the brake booster assembly, replaced spark plugs and spark plug wires and distributor cap, replaced Opus ignition electronics with Re-Opus system, rebuilt the clutch master unit and replaced clutch slave unit and clutch hose, replaced all 4 tires, changed oil and lubed. This car has an after-market Weber carb conversion package installed by a previous owner. The carb package consists of 6 each Weber IDF-40 2bbl downdraft carbs. I have all documentation for the Weber carb conversion. Also have original owners manual. The previous owner had indicated that he had the alternator replaced just prior to selling the car to me. All electronics work fine (even the clock) except that the car does not have a cigarette lighter. The AC works great. The car drives well and does not pull (indicating no alignment problems). The car also does not pull when braking. The car does leave some oil drips on the garage floor but I believe that is considered normal for old Jaguars. The car sometimes emits smoke from the exhaust on cold startup, but it disappears quickly when driving. No evidence of rust on the frame. Body is rust free except that there appears to be a small area on the lower body just forward of the right rear wheelwell where a rust spot was addressed by a previous owner. The paint job is not original but is OK as shown by the pictures (though a repaint would make the car a knockout). There is a small ding on the hood, and some shallow dings and dents on the passenger side door as evidenced in the pictures. There is a small tear in the leather on the driver’s seat. The car has a current vehicle registration and has a current safety inspection and is very driveable. The speedometer shows 79,400 miles and I believe that to be accurate based on the overall condition of the car. The vehicle is located in Richmond, Texas (just SW of Houston).
