Ebay item 5/31/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Stock-/331569863886
Opening bid US $6,750, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2. Before I part it out into a million pieces, I thought I would see if anyone can use it complete..It is along time sitter. That has a 77 Ford 302 V8 with C4 automatic tranny. They fit in there without hacking apart the firewall or front birdcage.I got it to turn over but not started. Put a new starter, plug wires, coil, ignition module, plugs, etc in but it is not getting spark. So it is an unknown engine which I have no history of other than than the previous owner saying she ran it until it was parked many , many years ago. But you know how that goes. The body has dents and other damage, but is actually pretty rustfree.Nice flat solid rustfree floors, nice rockers and all around clean and rustfree. Looks like it had some poor bodywork done on the right rear.. Thick bondo falling off. The passenger door has a pretty good dent in it. The windshield is broken, The rear side glass is missing. The tachometer is gone, as is the ignition key as someone drilled out the tumbler. The interior is original. Meaning dried out and needing replacement. The dash is not bad with most or all switches and gauges present. The bumpers are gone and some other stuff. There is a box in the spare box with some parts in there. Headlight bucket, etc. this car could go either way. Put a Jag engine back in there and restore to stock. Or fix or replace this engine and go hot rod V8.The body is solid , rustfree and will be a very, very solid base to work with. These are great cars. That are getting a bit more pricey every year. Straight clean title ready to go. Local inspection is highly recommended.
