Sellers description:
This is a 1971 Jaguar E Type Series III V12. This Jaguar is an original California car. I bought it from the original owner in Chatsworth, CA. The car sat in his garage for 20 years. He had personalized plates on it, so I had to get new plates when I registered the car. This year V12 engine has a 9:1 compression ratio so the car has significantly more power than later models. I just finished the restoration. I repainted the car its original color, Old English White. I reupholstered the car in red leather and Wilton Wool carpets. The headliner was replaced. I chromed all the brightwork.

The car has the following new features:

Tires, brakes, suspension bushings, ball joints, water pump, fuel pumps, exhaust, shocks, steering, radiator and hoses, air conditioning, new body rubber.

Engine runs fine. I dropped and cleaned the pan and oil filter assembly.

Transmission was serviced and is good.

All gauges work including the clock.

Had the wheels aligned.

Flushed and coated the fuel tank.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
