Details
Offered here is a 1972 example of the S3 FHC, which has had just 4 owners from new and has benefited from much improvement, while in the vendors ownership. These include a full repaint, after removing the huge bonnet, which was bead blasted to bare metal and the replacement of the rear wheels arches. Once painted the car was reassembled and all new screen and door rubbers fitted.

The car has also been subjected to a full brake overhaul, with new calipers, rebuilt rear axle and new metalastic subframe mounts. The engine is fully serviced, has been fitted with all new hoses and is equipped with new Opus electronic ignition.

Finished in red with black leather interior, the car has the 5.3 litre V12 engine, which is mated to the, highly desirable, manual transmission. This is a very good example of a S3 E-Type, which is said to perform very well indeed.

Estimate £11500-13000

Sold by Arun Independent Jaguar and Performance Car Dealers of Pulborough in December 2016. 63,000 miles. Seller's description runs: This very good Signal Red, UK Right Hand Drive example was supplied by Fletchers of Swansea and first registered in December 1972. We supplied the car to its last keeper in April last and are pleased to have been able to acquire the car back from him.

It spent much of its life in Italy where some restoration work was carried out to a high standard, this is supported by a number of good photographs. Prior to supply to the last keeper we carried out some work to the braking system. In September 2016 a new steering lock was fitted and the main wheel bearings, tail shaft gasket and output shaft oil seal were replaced at a Jaguar main dealer. We are delighted to be offering this very nice car on the open market. A car to be enjoyed.
