Amazing! If those are truly the original miles I pray that someone can go over the car with a camera, video and notebook to document every detail. The car is a time machine, perhaps the best one left in the world. Restored cars don't count, only original ones.

Can anybody help me?
Was this V12 'E' originally owned by Mr. John. B. Foss, of Ashey, Ryde, Isle of Wight, England. The registration then was 'JBF 22'. I personally knew this 'E' from new when I was working for him at the time. After his death in 1992, his widow, Mrs. Betty Foss, had the totally original 'E' auctioned around 1994/5 and it fetched just over £74,000. A record price at that time. The mileage then was around 650 miles, which makes me think that this could be the one!

This amazingly low mileage car is mentioned in Jaguar Driver magazine March 1979 in a letter from Page Motors High St Epsom, Surrey England. They were offering the car for sale along with another, 1S 2845 BW. Both cars were brand new, unused and unregistered!! They were from the last 50 batch and were of course black. They had been displayed, unused in their showroom. A suggested price was up to £25000 each.

Havin just checked the chassis number of the other black roadster, 1S 2845 BW in a similar condition to the above I note that it is not in the database. It had cinnamon upholstery and pressed chrome wheels and was, of course, automatic.
Question: Where is it now?
