auctionsamerica.com/events/feature-lots.cfm

Auction description:
California

July 31-August 2, 2014
1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III V-12 Roadster
A Private Southern California Collection
Lot No. 3061
To be offered on Saturday, August 2, 2014
Offered Without Reserve
Estimate: $ 50,000 - $ 75,000

The XKE offered has only 12,887 original miles, matching engine and chassis numbers, and was ordered with the appealing color combo of Pale Primrose paint with Biscuit interior. Included with the sale are the tool kit, top boot cover, optional hardtop, owner's packet, and other documents are included in the sale. The desirable optional wire wheels and 4-speed manual transmission give it the classic, nostalgic look and feel of the original XKE while still having creature comforts such as air conditioning and more cockpit room. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire an exceptionally low mileage, last year of production E-Type that is ready to be thoroughly enjoyed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
