We’re told that this automatic car has been in the same family since 1974, with the current keeper since 2012. With that provenance, it is a great find for the Jaguar enthusiast. The car is finished in rare and factory correct Azure Blue following a repaint in 2010. The black fabric roof was renewed in 2015. Thanks to very sparing use since, the condition remains little altered.
We are told that since 2023, £13,000 has been invested in the mechanics, including new exhaust manifold, starter motor and gearbox repairs. The vendor also advises that the car carries a large history file featuring all MOTs and many invoices. Factory paperwork is said to confirm the specification.
The Series 3 is the sort of E-Type you can use and enjoy. This car’s provenance and recent work set it apart.
