Car was offered at auction in 1995, not sold. Note that the VIN from auction records have extra digits, its assumed that those were added in error as E-type data plates are notorious for sometimes being hardly legible. Auction description:

has recently received a high quality repaint and new carpets and leather seats including a brand new everflex soft-top .
The car comes with tools and manual and maintenance records .
This roadster had 3 owners since new and last owner owned this car for 24 years in Ojai CA .
