A Barn find E Type, it doesn't get much better than that.
* A UK supplied right hand drive manual gearbox series111 roadster.
* Car laid dormant in barn for over 20 years. An exciting project.
* Believed to have covered 97 miles in 24 years with an unwarranted odometer reading of 10,165 miles.
* Complete with its factory hard top and the 1975 purchase invoice from H R Owen.
* The restoration has been started but all interested parties should satisfy themselves prior to the auction as to the extent of the works required.
The exterior needs to be painted and rebuilt. The car was originally blue then red the yellow. Been laid to rest for over 20 years in a barn and now recovered from storage prior to commencement of a full restoration. This process was commenced with a new wiring loom, some mechanical repairs and a coat of paint, however a change of plans has meant that the E Type is now for sale and is the perfect basis for a quality restoration.
The interior needs a re-trim and refit. The engine has not been run for some time. Has new wiring loom. The car has covered 10,165 miles since a rebuild and the last MoT was in 1992 at 10,068 miles, so the car has covered 97 miles in 24 years. The car has had a number of private plates over the years. The purchase invoice from H R Owen London back in 1975 is included.
The DVLA has incorrectly allocated an L suffix registration mark, as the car was manufactured in August 1973 the registration should have been issued with an M suffix number.
