Ebay item 8/7/10

Car has a buy it now price of $49,000 for 6 days. 85k miles.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-type Roadster with factory working A/C is in great original condition. It has a beautiful newer paint job. The rest of the car is in amazing original condition with original miles and only three very meticulous owners since new. It spent most of its life in Virginia where it was sold new and had three owners since. This is the original and elegant color combination for this great car of Sable with Tan interior. She runs excellent and starts without hesitation. Also drives wonderful at low and high speeds with plenty of acceleration and a tight feel all over the car. The gears shift nicely with no noises in any gears and the clutch feels great. In addition the car stops excellent with no pulling to the right or left. The oil pressure and compression are great on the car. Compression readings are between 160 and 167 psi on every cylinder. Furthermore, the body lines and gaps are some of the nicest you will find on a Jaguar E-type with no signs of damage on this car. The underside is very clean as well. Also the Air Conditioning unit works and blows COLD AIR! These Jaguar E-type are very difficult to find maintained this nice and also in usable ready to go and mechanically sound condition. There are a lot of “restored” Jaguars out there, but they only are only original once. Several records, invoices, original Series 2 Jaguar E-type owner’s manual and original sales/service guide are available with the car as well. This is a great car to enjoy.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
