Car now on BAT
bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-jaguar-xke-coupe-8/
Current Bid: $58,000 Ends In: 4hrs

Seller's description:
This 1969 Jaguar E-Type roadster is finished in Pale Primrose Yellow over a black interior and powered by a 4.2L inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was purchased circa 2004 by its previous owner in Virginia, who drove it 4k of its 34k indicated miles before passing away in 2017. The selling dealer serviced the car in fall 2017, rebuilding the Stromberg carburetors, installing a new water pump and fabric top, replacing fluids, and performing mechanical and Virginia state inspections. This Series II XKE is offered on consignment by the selling dealer with tools, service records, and a clean Virginia title.

The body panels are finished in Pale Primrose, with the finish shown under indoor and outdoor lighting in photos. Chips are visible around the grille edges along with unevenness on the left rocker just aft of the wheel arch.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are mounted with backdated knock-off spinners and Coker redline tires, which date to 2009. A new black fabric top was installed by the seller's shop in 2017.

The cabin remains largely stock and houses a period AM/FM radio in the center control stack. Jaguar-branded Amco rubber mats line the floors. The condition of the sill covers, seats, and other upholstery is detailed in the video above and the gallery below.

The odometer shows just over 34k miles, 4k of which were reportedly driven by the late previous owner. The seller states that a 2002 title lists 22k as "actual mileage." The Smiths clock is currently inoperative.

The trunk retains a factory-style mat and side panels. A spare knock-off wire wheel, jack, and tool roll are included along with two earless spinners and a removal tool.

The 4.2L inline-six and 4-speed manual transmission received new fluids during a recent service and inspection by the selling dealer, which also included rebuilds of the twin Stromberg carburetors and installation of a new water pump. The seller notes that the engine compartment appears to have been partially refinished at some point, with yellow and black overspray visible on suspension arms and ancillary components.

A stainless exhaust system is visible in the photo above, and additional detailed pictures of the underside can be seen in the gallery. Service records are said to date back to 2002, but are not photographed.
