Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster VIN # 1R7849 This solid Arizona car has never had any rust repair. Body alignment is excellent. This car does run, sounds good and has good oil pressure. It has the added performance of the tri carb set up that earlier E-types have. Mileage shows 39235 but can't certify that. Back side of the bonnet, door jams, and trunk area have all been professionally painted red. The car is missing the radio console. This car was primed with everything off the car. Everything has been put back on temporarily to show the car is complete. A great opportunity. It has owner’s handbook.

I don't know about you folks, but I'd be very suspect of a car without the original data plate installed and although the ad says the car is from Arizona, I have seen many cars from Arizona that did not show anywhere near the amount of extensive work that this car is going to need just to bring it to a decent level for a daily driver. It may not have had any previous rust repair, but it is plainly evident that it is in dire need of it at the moment. Good luck in your venture, but be prepared to spend at least a small, perhaps even a large fortune to get the bodywork right! Then, you have to deal with the rest of the mechanical issues as well, and there will always be some of those to deal with! It is part of the E-Type ownership experience, and, once correctly done, will make owning the car a far more pleasant experience.
