Was for sale in '12 on Bring A Trailer:
bringatrailer.com/2012/05/07/bat-exclusive-well-traveled-1969-jaguar-xke-ots/
Sellers description:
his 1969 Jaguar E-Type Open Two Seater (Chassis 1R7639) is a matching number car with 87,500 original miles and three California owners since new. It still wears both original blue license plates from the first year they were issued, and we've met the car and seller on several California Melee and Targa California events. During his ownership he has covered 8000 miles, nearly all on classic car driving events, and the car is not a show queen but rather a clean driver that presents very nicely. It is available in Bishop, California for $38k.

This 1969 Jaguar XKE OTS Series II was purchased by the seller from this 2012 BaT Exclusive and has driven it 1500 miles since, while storing it at his summer lake house. He took delivery of the car from the previous owner's home in Bishop, California and drove it to Lake Tahoe. This is a matching numbers example that was repainted in 2000, and was well maintained by the previous owner who drove it around 8000 miles. Extensive work previously performed by XKs Unlimited included new floors, windshield, top, tonneau cover, and properly restored seats. The car now has 89k miles and is sold with a clean Nevada title.
The seller describes the repaint as very presentable with some flaws. The car shows well in photos, with a fully redone top by XKs Unlimited and a new windshield to correct the original's wiper scratches. The headlights are the original Lucas items and are said to work well.
The seats were fully redone by XKs Unlimited, with new materials throughout rather than just new covers. All rubber trim and seals have been replaced, including the felt in the doors.
The engine number is 7R2322-9. During the seller's four years with the car it has required little more than basic maintenance. The seller has replaced the heater valve and SU fuel pump, and installed new Vredstein tires on the front. The car is said to keep good temperature even in 100 degree plus heat, though the second gear synchro requires proper rev matching to avoid a grind. Mechanical work performed by the previous owner included:
All coolant/heater hoses replaced
Restored heater box
New tappet guide stakes
Fitted spin-on oil filter adapter
New fuel lines throughout
Rebuilt carbs with new floats and adjustable needles
Replaced Motor Mounts and Stabilizer
Rebuilt alternator installed, with working original included
CoolCat fans wired on a dedicated circuit with relay and new Otter switch
Optima Battery with shut-off switch
XKs Unlimited replaced the floors, as the originals were distorted due to improper jacking. The subframe is said to be straight and solid, and the suspension benefits from new tie rods, ball joints, rear springs, all six shocks, and new radius arm bushings. The brakes work well, and the previous owner fitted painted 6″ wide Dayton wire wheels in 2008.
