Mechanically the car is superb, having had a full engine rebuild, with upgraded connecting rods etc, by a respected shop, with a conversion to the Series 1 triple SU carburettors, a set of headers, Mallory dual PT Distributor, adjustable torsion bar tie plate, rear sway bars added, Uprated fully adjustable coil over shocks in rear suspension, Stainless braded brake hoses on the front calipers, upgraded alternator and an Ansa exhaust, All done prior to me owing the car . The Ansa gives the car a deep, snarly exhaust note which is surely audible but not intrusive The 6 cyl. engine has 150 lbs. compression on all cylinders. During the time i have owned the car i have taken it to many shows winning best interior best import and i recently took to a JCNA jaguar concourse show were it won best in class! With a score of 981.9 out of a maximum of 1000 and has recently under gone a full 4 hour mechanical inspection by a Classic Jaguar specialist and his team. And found to be in excellent overall condition.
