This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 was partially refurbished by the prior owner in 2014 and was purchased by the seller as a non-running project in 2025. The car was subsequently brought back to running condition and a Classic Air air conditioning system was installed. It is finished in Signal Red over black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Bluetooth stereo. This XKE 2+2 is now offered with service records, a car cover, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Signal Red and was repainted in 2014. Exterior equipment includes sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by earless knock-offs and were mounted with 205/70 Kenetica Touring A/S tires in 2025. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The power steering system has been bypassed.
The 2+2 cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a Bluetooth stereo, a Classic Air air conditioning system, and a locking glovebox. The removed stock radio is included in the sale, though it does not work.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer was repaired in 2014, and it currently shows 34k miles. Approximately 1k miles were added under current ownership. The clock is inoperative.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was rebuilt in 2014 and Pertronix electronic ignition was added. The water pump was replaced in March 2025. The seller tells us that a replacement heater assembly was installed and the carburetors were rebuilt under current ownership.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced in 2014, and the seller states that second gear is notchy.
