Ebay item 11/7/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SPACE-GRACE-and-PACE-Automatic-Air-conditioning-Older-Re ...
Opening bid $27,500, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-type Series 2, 2+2 was bought from the original owner in 1980 by a Jaguar collector and restored at a cost of $20,000 dollars in 1985 (I have all receipts) for his daughter. She drove the car for 2,000 miles and then, in 1987 she parked it in a heated garage with 87K on the clock. I purchased the car from her in 2009. Car was as you see it today, only needed minor attention to return to its original glory. It is an excellent driver and shows very well for an older restoration. Drives, shifts and stops as it should, turns heads everywhere it goes. In sorting the car I have driven it 5,000 miles over the last two years and am now ready to move on to another project. This is truly a very nice example of a 2+2.

Included with the car are all tools, shop manual and all documents from the 1980's restoration.

SInce 2009 I have flushed all systems, replaced all hoses, rebuilt carburetors, replace the tires with Michelin 205 /70, replaced brake master cylinder and rebuilt power booster. Replace alternator with 1 wire GM unit ( included is the original Lucas). Sorted all electrical and general drivability issues. Even the clock works. I have not yet attempted to recharge Air Conditioning unit , at this point it does not blow cold. The headliner could use replacing but it is very functional as is.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
