Ebay item 9/16/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-2-2-1969-Jaguar-2-2-/140452229650
Current bid $1,324.09 reserve not met 12 bids 2 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Sacramento, California.
Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar 2 + 2 that just came out of a 15 year sleep. It was the six cylinder engine with automatic transmission. It was the Sable color with a Cinnamon interior and I believe it was always a California car, BUT it does have some rust issues. The car is pretty much complete except that it is missing the Engine transmission and the Drive Shaft. I believe it was restored sometime in the 80”s whereas they used Bondo to repair the rust issues and repainted the car Red.
The car has been stripped of all paint primer and filler and the body is pretty straight with multiple dents that were fixed in the 70’s or 80’s with Bondo instead of bumping them out. But as stated there are some rust issues as detailed below. THE CAR HAS BEEN TREATED WITH Metal Ready to prevent future rust prior tobody work and paint being completed. Therefore everything is visible with no surprises.
The GOOD NEWS IS IT HAS THE FOLLOWING INCLUDED:
Clean California Title
Spare Tire Well very good condition
Radiator with the fans
Front Bumper
Rear Bumper
Interior is intact
All gauges present
Door panels
Chrome around the front window
Side chrome
Headlight scoops
Headlight Units
Head light Chrome
Tail lights, with no lenses
Parking lights with lenses
All glass is in good shape
Has Power Brakes
Wire Wheels in good condition, no spare
The Bad:
Needs driver’s floor repaired about 12”
Small portion of the driver’s rocker panel 10” hole
Passenger’s quarter panel needs repair
The passenger’s side sub frame has a stress crack
Missing Heater box
Under hood wiring has been cut
Doors need some rust repair
Needs some work on front valance
Miscellaneous rust repair

Car has a buy it now price of $8,550 for 6 days. Car now said to be in Caspar, California.
Sellers description:
XKE 2+2 project. With Low mileage, good interior, very solid body , and just about everything you will need to build a really fine XKE! Body has been stripped and prepped for paint,
This car was originally equipped with a 4.2 6 cylinder motor and automatic transmission. The motor and Trans is out and lost. I have purchased a running 3.8 Jaguar motor with a 4 speed manual with O/D transmission for the car. In addition I have purchased a 3 SU carburetor set up for the motor. In addition to these items I will be including the following items to assist in the easy completion of the project, (inc clutch peddles etc) correct oil pan (XKE) it all goes with car. Clear CA title.
Previous auction ended at $4,000 after 14 bids.

Car returns to ebay 7/10/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Excellent-rust-and-Damage-Free-Inexpensive-XKE-Coupe-/22 ...
Buy it now price $6,850 for 4 days. 86k miles.
Sellers description:
A Good Solid Rust and Damage Free Jaguar XKE project car, at an extremely affordable price, my coupe could be the perfect car for you. Sold New in Sacramento California, where it lived its life, has allowed the car to remain pretty much rust and damage free. I have searched for 20 years to find a car this good, buying many "Heaps" along the way. This car is simply the very best example I have ever found at any where near this price.
A need for cash has caused me to list my 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 project For sale. The Body is excellent and complete. There is no previous rust or body Damage to be found anywhere on the car. I have stripped the exterior and interior of trim parts and paint (Stripped to Bare metal) in preparation for repaint. and have taken dozens of excellent photos of every part of the car inside and out. a coat of protective primer has been sprayed on the car in order to protect the bare metal.
The only rust I have found on the car is in the front of the drivers side floor, and under the battery box directly in front of it. Both spots are easily repaired. The Only previously repaired body damage I discovered was a small repair behind the right rear wheel. The only other item I noticed that will require a repair (Minor repair) are two minor stress cracks discovered on the right lower frame tubes in the engine compartment . ALL OF THERE LISTED REPAIRS ARE FULLY DOCUMENTED WITH PHOTOGRAPHS !
The Hood, Spare Tire well, both Drivers and Passengers floors as well as the body under the rear seating area, rocker panels, and all other regular rust prone areas found on the XKE are all solid, rust free and in very good condition!
The car was originally set up with a dual Zenith carbureted, 4.2 Liter twin over head cam 6 cylinder, and an automatic transmission. I purchased it (the Car) without either the original motor or transmission.
The Motor and transmission DO NOT Come with the car! Due to the fact that there is NO MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION in the car, IT IS NOT a running Car!
If you decide to install another Jaguar Motor but are still on a budget, I have purchased (and will include with the sale) the correct 1969 XKE Oil Pan, and Carbuator air cleaner snorkel. With these two items you can use a standard Jaguar 4.2 6 cylinder motor from any common sedan (XJ 6).
These items DO come with the car as part of the sale.
#1: An Excellent rust and damage free extra set of doors. They will replace the existing doors that have minor rust.
#2: Full set of exterior Chrome, and trim in good condition.
#3: Full set of used original interior trim .
#4: Good usable set of very nice chrome wire wheels.
#5: A Correct XKE Oil Pan, and intake air cleaner snorkel.
The car comes with a clear California Title and "Non-OP" Status . I have many photos and would be happy to send them if you wish.
