Ebay item 5/16/16
www.ebay.com/itm/141992917203
Current bid US $25,000 reserve not met 1 bid 4 days left in auction. Seller 805davew, 95k miles.
Sellers description:
This car is a stunning example of one of the finest touring cars of its era. It was sold new in Southern California and has had one careful owner since 1969. The 6 cylinder dual overhead cam engine had a full rebuild in our shop in 2012 and has covered only about 4000 miles since then. Total mileage since new is 95030. The carburetors were done at the same time as well as belts and hoses, removing and resealing the automatic transmission, renewing the factory air conditioning system, replacing the compressor and installing a full set of new tires. This car runs and drives as new. It is only available because of the owners passing and the families desire to pass the car to another caring owner.
The 2+2 body has had one repaint about 15 years ago in the original color of Imperial Maroon which is a deep red with no metallic. There is no evidence of any collision damage ever and no rust whatsoever. It has a few flaws after all that time but is still beautiful and extremely presentable. Always a southern California car and it has many dash plaques from Jaguar Concours events dating back to the early 80s. The chrome is all very nice and all the glass is perfect. It has always been garage kept with a car cover.
The interior is entirely original and has a lovely lived in feel. The black leather seats are just broken in and have a very nice patina and are very comfortable. The carpets and door panels are all very nice and are original to the car. Headliner is excellent. All gauges and instruments work but not the clock. They never do! The 2+2 with its larger doors and interior space makes this the perfect car for the taller gentleman that may be uncomfortable in a roadster.
Mechanically the car starts easily on the choke and idles smoothly with great oil pressure hot and cold. The transmission shifts well and the car is a pleasure to drive at any speed. I was pleasantly impressed with the automatic transmission and how much fun it was to drive. The steering is tight and precise and there are no rattles or shakes. The air conditioning is factory installed and works great to keep the cabin cool. The brakes stop the car straight and work perfectly.
This is a fabulous car in excellent condition that is a rare find with its one owner history and California heritage. It is fully serviced in our shop and is ready for your inspection and test drive.

The car was purchased by myself as a private buyer and I shipped it back to the UK
Most of the above is correct.but inevitably exaggeration and pics do not tell full story of paintwork which has many micro blisters. Still looks good from 2 metres
Clearly well looked after by the previous one owner who was chief test engineer of Cessna!
Currently on stands (Sept '16) and having head to toe examination!!
