    Ebay item 2/2/09
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $11,100 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction. Complete VIN on the car is J691R40862BW.

    Sellers description:
Car was originally sold and delivered to the first owner on November 20, 1970. The car was originally serviced by British Motors of Sacramento. The original Jaguar passport to service and metal owners plate is included with the sale. The service history of the car for the first two California owners is included with the car. These service records cover the service to September of 2002. My brother in San Diego was the third owner. He purchased the car in September 2002. The mileage at that time was 69,500. The second owner was in Escondido, Ca and was a friend of my brother's father in law. My brother drives a Mark II and has had the Mark II for years. The following work was done while the car was in his possession.

All of the following is documented with receipts.

Engine - fully rebuilt, all new wear parts, including timing chains, pistons, bearings, valves, guides, etc. Head fitted with Isky XM-3 street cams, and valve springs updated to V12 specs. Work done by Vintage Jaq works in Blackfoot, Idaho. The cylinders were bored .020 over. The crank was done .030 over. New main rear lip seal. Major engine work done in May ,2005. The car does not overheat.

Transmission - Updated from automatic to Medatronics five speed. The car runs about 2500 rpm at 72 mph. I recently updated the clutch disc to a new style made by Centerforce. The old dish disc did not release properly. Shifting now is vastly improved. New clutch master and slave cylinders.

Final Drive- Replaced seals on stub axles in differential. Replaced all four u joints in the half shafts. Pinion seal was not touched.

Cooling System - Install new aluminum radiator. Reconditioned both fan motors. Replaced all hoses, replaced heating pipes, including pipes which run inside the car, rebuild the heater box. Heater core was okay. The car does not overheat.

Fuel - Installed rebuilt fuel pump. Rebuilt the carbs. Replaced all hoses and filters.

Exhaust - New Bell Stainless steel system. All new including the headers.

Suspension and steering - New ball joints, upper and lower in the front. Rebuilt steering rack, including new tie rod ends.

Brakes - $ new rotors, new flexible pipes, new pads, reconditioned calipers, reconditioned power as it unit, reconditioned brake master cylinder, new valve on accumulator tank.

Wheels and tires - New Dayton wire wheels, the wider of the two rims which will fit this car. New Pirelli P4000 titles.

My brothers notes and records go with the car.

Items I have taken care of -
Petronixs ignition. Old ignition parts go with the car.

The following work was done by British Steel Restorations in Fresno, Ca

Overhauled the carbs and installed new temperature compensators. Balanced carbs.

    New alternator.

    New centerforce clutch disk.

Repaired drivers seat ratchet. Seat will not recline. It will fold forward. The welded bolt in the stop in the seat recliner can be adjusted with shims to change the driving position.

I have new shocks that I have bought but not installed. They will go with the car.

Body- Very clean with one minor ding on the front passenger fender. It is my understanding that the car had a bare metal respray in the original color in 1980. I was told this and it is consistent with the appearance of the paint. The seams are very good. The rockers are 100 percent. No rust. The chrome in in very good condition. The is a very small amount of rust at the top edge of the right front bumper. It will not photograph.

The interior is clean and presentable. If I was to keep the car I would redye the front seats and replace the dash cap. Both are in good condition now, just not perfect.

The car needs a new oil pressure gauge. The rest of the electronics are fine.

I drive the car twice a month to visit my parents in Merced, Ca. It is about a 100 mile roundtrip. The car runs exceedingly well at 75 to 85 mph. Gas milage is good. Every once in a while there is a small amount of over run when you shut the car off.

The exhaust should read new Stainless Steel Bell system including the hangers. The original headers were ceramic coated and reused.

    Car returns to ebay 10/29/15
    www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-2-2-Coupe-/121800327377
Current bid US $12,300 reserve not met 19 bids 4 days left in auction. Seller british_toys, same location, 80k miles.

    Sellers description:
I purchased this cars years ago from my brother. He in turn had purchased it from an elderly man that had kept the car garaged in San Diego. There is no significant rust on the car. The paint was stripped early in the life of the car. The body was lead filled and repainted the original factory color. There is one small thumb side indention in the side of the right front fender. You cannot pick it up in the pictures. The original engine was rebuilt about 8 years ago by Walt's Jaguars in Idaho. It was built back to stock specs with the addition of some nice Iskaderian cams. The car idles nicely and you do notice the cams in the higher rpm ranges. A standard upgrade to the car is the addition of the T5 5 speed manual transmission. You run about 2700 rpm at 70 to 75 mph in fifth gear. Very relaxed. There is about 3500 miles on this set up. I upgraded the clutch to a center force unit and it has a good feel. I have a stack of receipts that go with the car. Maintenance has been kept up on the car. The work has ben professionally done by Auto House of Clovis. They maintain my other British Cars and they do quality work. The pictures should speak for them selves. There are small items to attend to as is there is with any older British car. The choke knob needs to be reattached and the oil pressure gauges needs to be upgraded to a mechanical unit. I have had mechanical oil pressure gauges fitted and the pressure is good. I drive the car once a month on a 150 mile round trip to visit my mother in Merced, Ca. The pictures were taken after my return last Sunday.Car runs great and has never overheated on me. The aluminum radiator was fitted when the engine was rebuilt. The fans were rebuilt at the same time. The interior is original and is worn in spots. There are no rips or tears. It is just a well maintained old car. I hate to see it sit. Somebody else should be enjoying it. I have too many other cars and I just do not drive this one enough.
